• adopted at 4 months old by rose and mike rexing, a whte woman and a black man who had already had two biological sons of their own, to grant his wife's wish of finally having her little girl. tyler was well-loved by both parents, but her father took an immediate shine to his little girl. he named her tyler after his favorite musican - steven tyler, with an ode to his favorite song as her middle name

• has the deathly hallows tattooed to her middle finger, a lion on her index finger and the alchemy symbols for the seasons and the elements on the inside of her fingers, "i desire the things which will destroy me in the end" on her right shoulder in white ink, an abstract rose on the inside of her wrist, " janie's got a gun" in blue ink on her right forearm. has a stick/poke penis on the back of her elbow when chelsie got her drunk and convinced her (mutually convinced, truly). most recently got "we are not things" tattooed to her forearm with annabelle. in summer 2015 and "RJ" in a small heart on her ass on a dare in honor of rj

• youngest of 3 children, has two older brothers. her mother rose is a nurse and her father mike is a mechanic with his own garage that tyler grew up working in. she has the capability to take care of most car maintenence on her own. her father calls her tj, to which she's always thought he only wished she was yet another son instead of his final girl child. her brother charlie lives in northern california with his wife and two daughters.

• graduated from uc irvine in 2014 with her bachelor's of science in chemistry, currently trudging through her master's of science in biochemstry. she doesn't know what she's going to do with it, but pressure from her father to finish her schooling was what caused her to haphazardly pick herself a major. she'd ideally have liked to take some time off before grad school, and managed a semester, but at the urging of her father decided to continue on.

• works at green planet, a weed dispensary, where she takes her job surprisingly seriously and tries to stick within the law or at least skirt around them in the most unsuspecting way possible. also does an indie-pop based radio show at a local radio station thursday and sunday nights

• graduated high school as the valedictorian, though everyone (including her parents) were surprised by this. tyler's attention span left a lot to be desired and she was often in trouble for skipping class. she never got expelled, because the staff could never wrap their minds around how someone could do so well at most things and never be there.

• romantically stunted, tyler will avoid any and all situation involving genuine emotion and doesn't fuck with the word love. she doesn't really adhere to labels of any kind, but her affections are often fleeting and will burn out as quick as they started. she's not shy about sleeping around, especially with people that she enjoys, and can often be found crawling back to the same few for some semblence of familiarity.

• tyler views friendships as opportunities to experience another angle of the universe, and tend to imbue potential friendships with that weighty and idealistic quality. she attempts to learn something from every person that she encounters, but her moods can often shift and cause people to see her as abrupt and abrasive when in actuality, it's just her approach to friendliness.

• though a passionate, driven idealist when it comes to her work ethic and research, she's quickly able to switch to an imaginative and enthusiastic free spirit on the dance floor, often with a suddenness that can surprise even her closest friends. she's been known to be flighty and non-committal in every situation

• tyler has been playing drums since she could walk on her own. her father has always had big dreams of rock stardom, though he only plays guitar in his yard and focuses on his garage, but he transferred his love of music to his children and tried to start them in a band. tyler latched on, but her older brother couldn't be bothered. since then, tyler's played drums in several unsuccessful bands and her music "career" has taken a back seat due to her graduate studies (which she loathes)

• collects vinyl and has a terrible habit of buying books at thrift stores that she will never and never plans to read, if only because they're colorful and look good on her bookshelves. she arranges her books in order of color, making the look of her shelves appealing to her eye instead of easy to find. if ever asked, her most prized possesion is a rolling stones aftermath album that was a gift from her father, but they go record shopping together at least once a week.
